Mission's Karaoke Night
Mission Ministry is hosting a Karaoke Night on 3/16/24 from 5-9pm to help raise funds for our trip to the Philippines. Tickets will be $30 and it includes dinner, drinks and loads of karaoke fun! We will also have a live DJ! We will be providing child care for $5 which includes pizza and a movie for children. There will be opportunities to participate and win raffles!
RESTORATION 21 Day Fast
We invite you to join our 2024 RESTORATION 21-Day Fast. This is the corporate fasting we host every year as a church. This year we believe God to RESTORE everything that the enemy has taken from us, according to Joel 2:25.
How to Fast:
Daniel Fast- If you choose a Daniel fast, participants typically avoid meat, sweets, and other specific foods, focusing instead on a plant-based diet with an emphasis on fruits, vegetables, nuts, and grains. Based on the biblical story of Daniel in the Old Testament
Total Fast- In contrast to partial fasts, a total fast entails abstinence from all food and liquids for a typically designated observed from duration, sunrise to sunset. Based on the biblical story of Jesus in the wilderness
Some key points to fasting:
While you fast, you NEED TO DRINK AT LEAST 1 GALLON OF WATER DAILY. Water is “your best friend”. You also can have tea and juices (apple, orange, vegetable juice—stay away from the juice that has too much sugar)
If you must go to work or school, we recommend doing the Daniel fast from sunrise to sunset. This will help you get through the day and give you energy.
During your time at work/school during lunch, get away from others and pray, read your Bible, or meditate.
If you are DIABETIC, pregnant, or breastfeeding, we recommend that you do the Daniel fast (just eating fruits and vegetables)
Things to do while you are on your fast: Pray (take time to pray and spend time in SILENCE before God), Read The Bible (As you read, ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you), come to the church for Corporate Prayer (Wednesdays at 7 pm) and listen or watch online (YouTube).
If you can, take a nap during the day (it is good rest for your body, and you will need the energy)
